The job search is over! Hooray!  

I am pleased to announced that I have accepted a position with an awesome company in Burnaby.

What I was looking for:

• Office located in Vancouver or Burnaby
• Full Time
• Many other benefits & perks 

Here are the stats:

• Time off work: 2.5 months
• Jobs applied for:  93 (Yes, I tracked every application!)
•  70 different job titles
• Of the 93 companies only 9 informed me I wasn't considered for the short-list (their loss!) and 1 was a scam
• Interviews: 3 companies & 1 agency (the job I got was direct hire)
• Turned down 2 jobs due to low pay

What helped this time is that my finances were much improved than the last time.  From the severance that I received + EI, I am only out 1.5 full pay cheque.  This wasn't an issue due to the extra money I received from last month and budgeting very well!

The relief is indescribably and most say good/bad things come in 3 so I hope my streak of layoffs has ended and I can have a long term career with this new organization.

Yay me!
